1. Membership

By signing up for regular donations or annual membership you are granted membership of Wild Mountains Ltd. As a legal member, Wild Mountains Guardian, your membership remains active for a period of 12 months (annual membership) or while your regular donations continue. If you move permanently to another location , please advise us of any changed contact details. Your membership of Wild Mountains Ltd will remain unchanged as a legal member, unless requested in writing or as a member as your donations continue.

2. Donations

2.1 Donations to Wild Mountains over $2 are tax deductible. Ongoing regular donations are tax deductible and will be receipted at the end of financial year. 

2.2 It is your responsibility to ensure that sufficient funds are in the nominated account when the payments are to be drawn. If sufficient funds are not available on the next debit day, and you have not notified Wild Mountains per Point 2.4, your financial institution may deduct a fee from your account. This fee varies with each financial institution and will not be reimbursed by wild Mountains Ltd. 

2.3 Complaints, grievances and disputes will be treated seriously, and in a timely manner, having due regard to procedural fairness and confidentiality. If you believe that there has been an error with your donation, you should notify us directly in writing or by email at [email protected] as soon as possible so that we can resolve your query.  

2.4 We may vary details of your agreement or direct debit request at any time by giving you at least 14 days written notice via email. If you wish to cancel, defer or alter a debit payment you must notify us by calling +61 (0)7 5544 1377 or emailing [email protected] at least 14 days before the next donation day. Please provide your name, address, and supporter number, for ease of processing.

3. Direct Debit Authorisation

By giving your payment details to sign up to a regular gift or annual membership you are: 

3.1 Authorising and requesting Wild Mountains Ltd to arrange for funds to be debited from your account at the financial institution identified and as prescribed below through the Bulk Exchange Clearing System (BECS). All details of the accounts to be debited have been supplied. 

3.2 Authorising Wild Mountains to verify the details of the above mentioned account with your financial institution. 

3.3 Authorising your financial institution to release information allowing Wild Mountains Ltd to verify the above mentioned account details. Your account details will be kept private and confidential.

4. Direct Debit Request Service Agreement

4.1 Subject to 4.2 and 4.3 you may change the arrangements under a Direct Debit Request by contacting us on +61 (0)7 5544 1377 or emailing [email protected]

4.2.i. If you wish to stop or defer one of your contributions you must notify us at least five (5) business days before the next debit day.  

4.2.ii. You may also cancel your authority for us to debit your account and cancel your membership at any time by giving us fourteen (14) days notice before the next debit day. 

4.3 The first direct debit of your account will occur on the selected date; ongoing regular direct debiting of your account will then occur at your selected frequency.

5.   Use of Website from outside Australia

5.1   The information on this Website and the Terms and Conditions have been prepared in accordance with Australian law. If you are residing in or accessing this Website from a country other than Australia (the User Country) the Information and the Terms and Conditions may not satisfy the laws of the User Country. Should the Information and the Terms and Conditions satisfy the laws of the User Country, then you are entitled to use the Website. In the event that the Information or the Terms and Conditions do not satisfy the laws of the User Country, this Website is not intended for your use, and you are not entitled to rely on the Information. If you do so, you agree to indemnify us for any loss or damage which we may incur as a consequence.

6. Restrictions on Use

6.1   The Website is available only for your personal and non-profit use. We have the right to change or discontinue any feature of the Website including the Material defined in clause 7, hours of availability and equipment required for access. You may make a single hard copy of the Material. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, frame, post, upload, distribute, transmit or modify in any way all or any part of the material contained on this Website, unless expressly provided for on the Website or expressly authorised in writing by Wild Mountains. You must not transmit or attempt to transmit any data, code or other material of any kind to this Website which contains a virus or other harmful component.

7.1   The content of this Website, including all information such as text, graphics, images and other material (Material), is protected by Australian and international copyright law. You may download a single copy of the Material and where necessary for reference purposes keep a temporary copy in your computer's cache and make a single hard copy of the Material. You may make such other use of the Material as is otherwise expressly authorised on the Website. Unauthorised use of the Material may violate these copyright laws.

8.   No Representations

8.1   We make no representations about the accuracy, reliability, completeness or timeliness of the Material. The Material may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors. The use of the Website and the Material is at your own risk. Changes are periodically made to the Website and may be made at any time.

9.    Taxes

9.1   Certain taxes and government charges may be payable by you in relation to your use of our Website or transactions on or in any way connected with the Website. We will not indemnify you for any such taxes and other government charges. Prices or charges on our Website include Goods and Services Tax (GST), if any.

11.1    As we do not and cannot be involved in your interaction with Linked Sites and Advertisers, in the event that you have a dispute with one or more Linked Sites or Advertisers, to the extent permitted by law, you agree to release us (and our officers, agents, contractors, volunteers and employees) from liability for any claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.
